Manchester man charged in Kimball St. stabbing

MANCHESTER –– A local man was arrested and charged with first-degree assault with a deadly weapon following a stabbing incident on Kimball Street, according to police.

On September 28, at around 8:45 p.m., Manchester Police responded to a reported stabbing at 519 Kimball Street.

Upon arrival, officers discovered a situation involving two men who had been in an altercation in the apartment.

The conflict escalated to the point where one of the men was stabbed in the back.

While the injuries were not life-threatening, the man was reported to be in stable condition.

Authorities identified the assailant as 37-year-old Jesse Doyle of Manchester.

The men were known to each other and police made it clear that this was not a random act of violence.

Doyle was arrested and charged with first-degree assault with a deadly weapon.

The investigation into the circumstances surrounding the altercation is still ongoing.
