Manchester man arrested for criminal threatening with firearm

MANCHESTER –– A 24-year-old local man has been arrested for allegedly brandishing a firearm during an argument, according to Manchester Police.

Yidiel Prado Ortiz was arrested on September 26 after police responded to a reported argument on Merrimack St. on September 23 around 9:50 a.m.

The caller, who knew Prado Ortiz, claimed he was attempting to gain entry to her building. She reported that when she denied him entry, an argument ensued during which Prado Ortiz allegedly presented a handgun.

After leaving the scene on foot, an arrest warrant was issued for Prado Ortiz on charges of Criminal Threatening with a Firearm.

In addition to this charge, Prado Ortiz faces further charges of Felony Receiving Stolen Property (Firearm) in relation to a separate incident.

Bail for Prado Ortiz was set at $2500 cash. His arraignment is scheduled for October 27 in Hillsborough Superior Court-North.
