Man arrested for DUI #4 in Rutland

RUTLAND — A 71-year-old man was arrested for his fourth DUI in Rutland yesterday.

Authorities were notified of a fire alarm at the Cortina Inn at around 7:15 p.m.

Several people approached a trooper and said a man just struck a dog with his vehicle and did not appear that he was going to stop.

Police say the driver appeared to be under the influence.

The driver was identified as Montgomery Detotehill, of Rutland.

Detotehill was arrested for DUI and processed at the State Police Rutland barracks before being released on a citation to appear in court.
