SHAFTSBURY — A 41-year-old woman from Pownal was arrested following an incident in Shaftsbury today.
Police say they initiated a traffic stop after observing a motor vehicle violation while patrolling the area of U.S. Route 7 at around 10:00 a.m.
Police say they detected indicators of drug impairment while speaking with the driver, identified as Sara Ennis.
Ennis was screened and placed under arrest for suspicion of driving under the influence of drugs.
She was transported to the Shaftsbury barracks for further processing.
After processing, Ennis was released on a citation to a sober party.
