Man stabbed at Manchester Wendy’s, suspect still at large

MANCHESTER –– A man was stabbed on Sunday night, September 17, at a Wendy’s restaurant in Manchester, according to police.

Manchester Police responded to the incident at 8:15 p.m. at the Wendy’s located at 675 South Willow St.

Officers found a 29-year-old man inside the restaurant with a non-life-threatening stab wound to his neck.

The victim reported that he was in the restaurant when a woman he knew entered.

Soon after, another man they both knew, identified as 45-year-old Jay Mouncey, entered carrying a knife.

An altercation broke out between the two men, resulting in the victim being stabbed. Mouncey then fled the scene.

Mouncey, who is currently homeless, is now wanted by police.

A warrant has been issued for his arrest on charges of First Degree Assault with a Deadly Weapon, Felon in Possession of a Dangerous Weapon, and Criminal Threatening.
