Man arrested for pointing gun at people in Strafford

STRAFFORD — A 53-year-old man was cited following an incident in Strafford today.

Authorities say they were notified of a dispute on Lafleur Road involving a firearm at around 1:30 p.m.

Police allege that James Savery, of Strafford, pointed a gun at three people.

No shots were fired, and no one was injured during the dispute, police say.

Savery did assault a dog during the dispute.

He was transported to the Royalton barracks for processing and released with a citation to appear in court on Monday.
