Manchester police issue warrant for homeless man in connection to August burglary, stabbing

MANCHESTER –– An arrest warrant has been issued for 54-year-old Ronald Wilkerson, a homeless man, in connection with an August burglary that resulted in a stabbing, according to Manchester police.

On August 21, 2023, at around 6:10 a.m., police were called to the Residence Inn at 40 Lake Ave after a man, suffering from stab wounds, stumbled into the hotel.

Officers determined that the actual crime scene was at the Christos Kalivas Hi-Rise Apartment Building at 175 Chestnut St., from where the victim had walked to the hotel.

Investigation revealed that Wilkerson had forcibly entered the victim’s apartment and assaulted him.

The assault escalated, leading the tenant to defend himself with a knife, resulting in Wilkerson’s stabbing.

In response to these findings, the police issued a warrant for Wilkerson’s arrest, charging him with felony burglary.
