Killington man arrested for domestic assault

KILLINGTON –– A 21-year-old man was arrested on charges of domestic assault and interference with access to emergency services on September 12.

Jacob Douglas, of Killington, is accused of causing bodily harm to a household member and preventing the individual from calling 911 during the incident.

Killington Police were dispatched to 2910 Killington Road following the domestic disturbance.

Douglas was taken into custody and transported to the Killington Police Department for processing.

A court official ordered Douglas to be held without bail, pending his arraignment scheduled for the next day at 12:30 p.m.

In addition to the charges, Douglas was issued court-ordered conditions to abstain from contacting the alleged victim.

He was then lodged at the Marble Valley Regional Correctional Facility.

The police department, following their policy, did not disclose the names of the victims or witnesses involved in the incident.

The arrest was made by Patrol officers M. Hoffman and C. Roy.
