EDEN — A 36-year-old Eden man was arrested on Saturday following a reported family disturbance on Knowles Flat Road in the town of Eden, according to Vermont State Police.
Troopers, assisted by the Lamoille County Sheriff Department, arrived at the scene around 1:02 p.m. on September 9.
They found that Alan Bennion III had allegedly assaulted several family members using a weapon and had made threats against their lives.
The Vermont State Police have not released the names of the victims, adhering to their policy of protecting the identities of those subjected to domestic violence or sexual assault.
Following the arrest, Bennion was taken to the Morristown Police Department for processing.
He is currently being held at the Northern State Correctional Facility in lieu of a $2,500 bail.
The incident remains under investigation, and further details are awaited.
