Police looking for man who abused dog in Elmore

ELMORE — Police are seeking the public’s help in identifying a man who was involved in an incident in Elmore.

On September 5, authorities were contacted by a concerned citizen who witnessed a man violently abuse his dog at the Elmore Beach.

The incident took place on September 1.

The suspect was described as a 6-foot white man weighing approximately 200 pounds.

He was described as having a chest-length brown beard.

Police say the man was believed to be with two toddlers and a woman.

The dog was a 100-pound black lab.

Anyone who may know the suspect or who witnessed the event is asked to contact Trooper Cote at the Williston barracks.
