Juvenile arrested, charged in connection with Manchester shooting incident

MANCHESTER –– A juvenile suspect was arrested and charged in connection with a recent shooting incident in Manchester, according to local law enforcement.

Manchester Police confirmed the arrest of a 15-year-old male following an incident that occurred in the early hours of August 31.

Authorities were alerted to potential gunfire at a Merrimack Street address around 1:30 a.m. via the ShotSpotter activation system.

Witnesses at the scene reported hearing two loud bangs, which they believed to be gunshots.

Police officers promptly established a perimeter and initiated a K9 track, which led to the discovery of several shell casings on the ground behind the addressed location. No injuries were reported as a result of the incident.

Following a thorough investigation, the police were able to identify the juvenile suspect and charge him with Reckless Conduct and Falsifying Evidence.
