Missing vulnerable adult alert issued for Claremont woman

CLAREMONT –– New Hampshire State Police have activated the Missing Vulnerable Adult Alert System on behalf of the Claremont Police Department, seeking public assistance in locating a missing woman.

Amy Wescott, 34, was reported missing by her guardian today, Aug. 23, 2023, at 9:30 a.m.

The 5 feet 9 inches, 289 pounds, red-haired woman was last seen at her Franklin Street residence yesterday, Aug. 22, at 2:20 p.m.

Wescott, who has brown eyes, was last seen wearing black shorts with white leggings underneath, a black tank top, and silver shoes.

She was also carrying a small blue drawstring backpack and a white bag, and had her hair in a ponytail.

Described as intellectually disabled by her guardian, Wescott’s last known movements were on foot.

Authorities urge anyone who comes into contact with Wescott to immediately notify the Claremont Police Department at (603) 542-9538.

Attached to the police department’s release is a photo of Wescott, including an image of the outfit she was last seen wearing.
