Motorcycle crash in Cambridge, driver charged with DUI

CAMBRIDGE — A 49-year-old man was arrested for DUI following a crash in Cambridge on Sunday.

The crash took place on Vermont Route 15, at the Wrong Way Bridge, at around 6:45 p.m.

Police identified the driver as David Lafountain, of Cambridge.

Lafountain was evaluated by EMS with suspected minor injuries.

Police say that Lafountain lost control of the motorcycle while attempting to navigate the left hand corner entering the bridge.

While speaking with Lafountain, police say they detected indicators of impairment.

He was arrested for the suspicion of DUI and transported to the Williston barracks for processing.

At the conclusion of processing, he was issued a citation to appear in court on September 6 to answer the charge of DUI.
