Missing Peterborough woman found, receiving treatment for potential hypothermia

PETERBOROUGH –– A woman reported missing in Peterborough was found safe Sunday morning, according to local police.

Asmita Nepal, 45, was last seen by her family around 10 p.m. Friday as she left her home on Greenfield Road for a walk.

After she failed to return, her family reported her missing.

Peterborough police announced Sunday morning that Nepal had been located a few miles from her home. She is currently being treated for potential hypothermia.

Authorities thanked the public for their assistance and shares in aiding the search and rescue efforts.

The Peterborough Police Department has not released further details about Nepal’s condition or the circumstances leading to her disappearance.
