Driver charged with DUI #3 in Cambridge

CAMBRIDGE — A 50-year-old man was arrested following an incident in Cambridge on Saturday.

Authorities say they were notified of a motorist who had reportedly run out of gas in the area of Andrews Road and Westman Road at around 1:00 a.m.

Police say they observed a vehicle that had driven through the intersection into the ditch, becoming disabled.

The driver was identified as Eric Cardinal, of Cambridge.

Police say that Cardinal was operating the vehicle with a criminally suspended license.

While speaking with Cardinal, police say they detected several indicators of impairment.

He was arrested for suspicion of DUI and transported to the Williston barracks for processing.

At the conclusion of processing, Cardinal was issued a citation to appear in court on September 6 to answer to the charge of DUI #3 and operating with a criminally suspended license.
