Portsmouth police seek public’s help in counterfeit money incident at local pizzeria

PORTSMOUTH –– Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying a man suspected of passing a counterfeit $100 bill at Joe’s NY Pizza on Woodbury Ave.

The incident occurred on Saturday, Aug. 5, around 1:00 p.m., according to the Portsmouth Police Department.

The suspect, shown in surveillance footage wearing sunglasses and a white T-shirt, allegedly used the fake bill at the local pizzeria.

The department has apologized for the low-quality images but believes they are essential in identifying the individual involved.
