TT unit gets stuck in the notch in Cambridge

CAMBRIDGE — A 66-year-old man from Ohio was cited for passing through a TT unit in Cambridge on Tuesday.

Authorities were notified that a TT unit that attempted to pass through and got stuck on Route 108 south of the notch at around 11:20 a.m.

The driver was identified as Billy Tolson, of Loraine Ohio.

Tolson told police that he ignored all of the signs leading up to the notch as he believed he could make it through.

Tolson was on his way to Franklin Foods in Enosburg.

The notch was closed for several hours while McRae’s Towing removed the vehicle.

Pursuant to Vermont Law, Eagle Logistics out of Avon Lake Ohio, was issued a traffic ticket with a fine of $2,347.00 and 2 points.
