Arrest made in Manchester Union Street stabbing incident

MANCHESTER –– A man has been arrested in relation to a stabbing incident that occurred in the area of Union St. and Litchfield Lane, according to Manchester Police.

Edgardo Molina, a 34-year-old New Boston resident, was identified and arrested following the incident, which took place on July 27, 2023.

At approximately 10:50 PM, police responded to a call and found a man with a non-life-threatening stab wound to his upper arm.

The victim reported that a dispute over parking near his apartment led to a physical altercation with an unknown male, during which he was stabbed.

Manchester Police were able to identify Molina as the suspect after distributing photos captured from surveillance video.

The footage showed a man wearing a white short-sleeved shirt with stripes, believed to be Molina.

Molina, currently being held on an unrelated domestic violence charge, was charged in absentia with First Degree Assault in connection with the stabbing.

The investigation is ongoing.
