NASHUA — Emergency services responded to a single-vehicle accident on Dublin Avenue Sunday night which resulted in a utility pole being broken and live wires falling to the ground.
Nashua Fire Rescue, AMR ambulance, and local police arrived on the scene around 7 p.m. to discover the toppled utility pole had caused a power outage in the immediate area.
Firefighters and medics evaluated the driver of the vehicle, who subsequently declined medical treatment.
Eversource, the power company, was able to respond swiftly to the scene as crews had just finished addressing another incident on Main Street.
They disconnected power to the downed line to ensure safety at the accident site near Alice Drive.
A few homes in the vicinity were affected by the power outage.
Eversource worked expediently to restore power to these residences.
The Nashua police department is currently investigating the accident.
As a result, residents can expect travel restrictions on Dublin Avenue while the utility pole is replaced and necessary repairs are made.
