Manchester man arrested in June stabbing case

MANCHESTER— A local man has been arrested in connection with a June stabbing near a popular pub, according to Manchester Police.

Michael Fantasia, 32, was arrested on Aug. 13 and charged with first-degree assault, second-degree assault and being a felon in possession of a dangerous weapon.

Fantasia, a convicted felon, was identified as a suspect during the investigation of a June 2 incident.

Police responded to Catholic Medical Center at approximately 1:30 a.m. on June 2, where a 35-year-old man reported being attacked near Mike’s Pub and Grub.

The victim told officers he had been hit in the back of the head with a bottle and stabbed multiple times after a man yelled at him.

His injuries were non-life-threatening.

Fantasia is set to be arraigned in Hillsborough Superior Court North today, Aug. 14.
