DUI crash in Marshfield

MARSHFIELD — A 33-year-old man from Calais was cited following a crash in Marshfield yesterday.

The single-vehicle crash took place on Calais Road at around 9:30 p.m.

The driver, identified as Michael King, sustained a head injury from the crash and was transported to the Central Vermont Medical Center for treatment.

While King was being prepared for transport to the hospital, he spit at Joseph Perreault, a Plainfield FAST Squad member and shortly after spit at a state police trooper.

King was showing signs of impairment and was issued a citation to appear in court on September 21 to answer to the offenses of DUI and assault on a protected professional.
