NASHUA –– An 18-year-old local resident, Canden Sims, voluntarily turned himself into the Nashua Police Department, facing a felony charge for Aggravated Felonious Sexual Assault.
The department first became aware of the case on May 19, when they were alerted about a sexual assault incident that reportedly occurred on May 8.
Through extensive investigative efforts, detectives identified Sims as the primary suspect.
Subsequently, an arrest warrant was acquired, charging the teenager with one count of Aggravated Felonious Sexual Assault, classified as a Special Felony.
Although Sims has been taken into custody, he was subsequently released on personal recognizance.
He is scheduled for arraignment at the Hillsborough County Superior Court – South at 1:00 p.m. on September 14.
