Manchester man charged with possession of child sexual abuse images

MANCHESTER –– A local man has been arrested and faces multiple charges in connection with child sexual abuse images.

Joseph Baio Jr. of Manchester was taken into custody on Aug. 3, following a two-month investigation by the Manchester Police.

He has been charged with 14 counts of possessing child sexual abuse images and one count of falsifying physical evidence.

In late June, police received a tip that Baio might have explicit images of minors on his cell phone.

Acting on this information, an investigation was initiated and Baio’s phone was seized.

During their probe, police located multiple sexually explicit images of children on the device.

Manchester Police are continuing their investigation and urge anyone with further information on this case to come forward.
