Man arrested for disorderly conduct, unlawful trespass at Rutland restaurant

RUTLAND –– A Texas man was arrested in Rutland on charges of disorderly conduct and unlawful trespass after disrupting a local restaurant and refusing to leave, according to the Vermont State Police.

Troopers from the Rutland Barracks were dispatched to the 99’s Restaurant on US Route 7 South on August 5, around 9:32 p.m., following reports of a disorderly male.

Upon arrival, the troopers made contact with the accused, identified as Brandon Boyden, 33, of Katy, Texas.

Officers found Boyden to be acting tumultuously and threatening restaurant staff.

Despite being asked to leave multiple times by both the restaurant staff and the troopers, Boyden refused.

Boyden was then taken into custody and transported to the Rutland Barracks for processing.

Following the incident, Boyden has been cited to appear in Vermont Superior Court Criminal Division to answer to the charges of disorderly conduct and unlawful trespass.
