Man arrested in St. George

ST. GEORGE — A 45-year-old man from Burlington was arrested following an incident in St. George today.

Authorities say they were notified that Jay W. O’Brien was violating an active set of court-ordered conditions of release and could be located on Vermont Route 116 at around 10:15 a.m.

Responding troopers located O’Brien and confirmed that he was violating a court-ordered 24-hour curfew.

Police say O’Brien also displayed indicators of impairment which was also a violation of his court-ordered conditions of release.

He was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Williston State Police barracks for processing.

He was later arraigned and released on court-ordered conditions.
