Driver wanted by Bethel arrested in Westminster

WESTMINSTER — A 30-year-old man from Bethel was arrested following a crash in Westminster.

The crash took place on I-91 at around 5:40 p.m. on July 29.

Police identified the driver as Tyler Taitague.

Police say Taitague showed signs of impairment and was screened for DUI-drug.

He had multiple in-state warrants and an extraditable warrant from the state of New Hampshire.

New Hampshire confirmed the warrant and Taitague was arrested for being a fugitive from justice and DUI-drug.

Upon a search incident to arrest, police say they located illegal drugs on Taitague’s person.

He was brought to Southern State Correctional Facility on a total of $17,400 bond.
