DUI charges following two-vehicle crash in St. George

ST. GEORGE — A 26-year-old man from Essex was arrested for DUI following a crash in St. George yesterday.

The two-vehicle crash took place at the intersection of Vermont Route 116, and Pond Road, at around 9:05 p.m.

A 2017 Nissan Altima was seen off the road in a ditch.

The vehicle had collided into the rear of a 2007 Chevrolet Silverado farm vehicle prior to going off the road.

The driver was identified as Brian Mackenzie.

While speaking with Mackenzie, police say they detected indicators of impairment.

Mackenzie was placed under arrest for the suspicion of DUI and transported to the Williston State Police barracks for processing.

He was issued a citation to appear in court on August 17 to answer the charge of DUI.
