Driver charged after crash in Williamstown

WILLIAMSTOWN — A 27-year-old man was arrested following a crash in Williamstown today.

The single-vehicle crash into a guard rail on Vermont Route 14, near the intersection of Soucy Lane, took place at around 5:30 p.m.

The driver was identified as Shawn Dezotell, of Williamstown.

Police say there were no injuries or other parties involved.

Following an investigation, police allege that Dezotell was under the influence of intoxicants while operating his vehicle.

He was taken into custody and transported to the Berlin barracks for processing.

He was cited to appear in court on August 16 to answer the charge.
