Juvenile driver injured during single-vehicle crash in Stratton

STRATTON — A 17-year-old was injured during a single-vehicle crash in Stratton today.

The crash took place on Mountain Road at around 9:00 a.m.

The driver was not on the scene and returned several minutes later.

Police say the driver was traveling south on Mountain Road, adjacent to West Jamaica Road, when he veered off the road and collided into a tree.

The vehicle then came to rest facing west.

Police say the driver sustained minor injuries from the crash and was transported to Southwestern Vermont Medical Center.

The vehicle was totaled from the collision and sustained heavy front-end damage resulting from the collision.

It was removed from the road by Paul’s Towing of Manchester.

State Police was assisted by the Stratton Volunteer Fire Department, Stratton Mountain Rescue Squad, and Paul’s Towing of Manchester.
