POWNAL — A teen from Bennington was arrested following a crash in Pownal yesterday.
The single-vehicle rollover crash took place on S. Stream Road at around 12:50 a.m.
Police say the occupants left the scene prior to their arrival and had caused significant property damage.
Through investigation, the driver was identified as a juvenile.
It was also found that an off-duty trooper stopped to check on the occupants, and the driver offered the trooper money to not contact the police.
The juvenile was transported to the Shaftsbury barracks for processing and later released to his guardian with a citation to appear in court on August 10.
