CLARENDON — Three people were arrested following an incident in Clarendon today.

Police say they initiated a traffic stop for an observed motor vehicle violation on US Route 7 at around 5:35 p.m.

The vehicle was found to be stolen out of Manchester, New Hampshire, in May of this year.

Police say that all 3 occupants of the vehicle knew the vehicle was stolen and had all operated the vehicle.

Michael Smith, 28, of Royalton, and Jessica Danforth, 29, of Royalton, were also found to have lied to the police during the investigation in order to deflect it.

All 3 were cited and released to appear in court to answer to the charges of possession of stolen property, and false information to police.
