BERLIN — A 64-year-old man from Connecticut was arrested for DUI following a crash in Berlin on Monday.
The single-vehicle crash took place on I-89 north at around 11:20 p.m.
Police say that Kevin Avery, of East Hampton, CT, was driving north when he hit a lighted highway sign in the median.
Following an investigation, police say that Avery was under the influence of intoxicants while driving.
He was taken into custody for suspicion of DUI and processed at the Berlin barracks.
He was released with a citation to appear in court.
