GEORGIA — A Burlington man has been arrested on multiple charges, including burglary, unlawful restraint of an infant, and violating an abuse prevention order, following a domestic violence incident in Georgia, Vermont.

This morning troopers responded to an open 911 call from a residence on Decker Road.

A woman could be heard crying on the line, with a man’s voice in the background.

Upon arrival, officers discovered Bradley Gelineau, 36, of Burlington, inside the home.

He had reportedly entered the house unlawfully through a window, in violation of an abuse prevention order.

Gelineau grabbed a woman and a 2-month-old infant, holding them against their will until additional officers arrived.

The arriving Troopers were able to free the woman and the infant, getting them to safety.

Gelineau then resisted arrest but was eventually taken into custody.

Following a brief stay at Northwestern Medical Center, Gelineau resisted officers again during transportation to the Northwest State Correctional Facility.

An emergency lodging order had been issued by his probation officer.

Gelineau is scheduled to appear before a judge to face the charges accrued during the incident.
