Two drivers injured in Bristol two-car collision

BRISTOL — Two women were hospitalized following a two-vehicle crash on Rockydale Road in Bristol on Sunday, according to Vermont State Police.

The accident occurred around 1:41 p.m. at the intersection of Rockydale Road.

Marjorie A. Porter, 74, of Bristol, was driving a 2022 Chevrolet Equinox west when her vehicle crossed the center line and collided with an eastbound 2019 Audi Q5 driven by Christine Fraioli, 71, of Lincoln.

The impact resulted in driver’s side contact damage to both vehicles, and both vehicles came to an uncontrolled rest.

Porter and Fraioli, both of whom were wearing seatbelts, were transported to the University of Vermont Medical Center.

Porter reportedly suffered minor injuries, while the extent of Fraioli’s injuries has yet to be reported.

State troopers were assisted at the scene by members of the Bristol Fire Department, Bristol Rescue, and Middlebury Rescue.

The investigation into the cause of the crash is ongoing.
