Nashua man arrested on felony burglary, domestic violence charges

NASHUA — The Nashua Police Department has arrested Carlos Class Velez, 33, of Nashua, New Hampshire, on multiple charges, including felony burglary and domestic violence. The arrest follows an incident that took place in the early hours of June 24, 2023.

At approximately 2:53 a.m., the victim, a former partner of Class Velez, reported to officers that he had physically assaulted her after breaking into her apartment. She also reported that Class Velez had damaged property within her residence.

Detectives conducting the investigation discovered that after the assault, Class Velez had prevented the victim from leaving her residence and obstructed her attempts to contact the police.

During the assault, it was learned that Class Velez had threatened the victim with a knife. The victim’s adult son, who attempted to intervene, was also assaulted by Class Velez.

Officers on the scene placed Class Velez under arrest. He was held on preventative detention and is scheduled to be arraigned at the Hillsborough County Superior Court.
