FAIR HAVEN — A local man was arrested on charges of unlawful trespass and for an outstanding arrest warrant after an incident involving two elderly residents, according to the Fair Haven Police Department.

Jared M. Parks, 41, of Fair Haven, was taken into custody on June 22 after police responded to a call of an unwanted person inside a residence on Mechanic Street at around 1:00 p.m.

Upon their arrival, officers located Parks nearby and detained him.

During an interview, Parks admitted to his involvement in the incident.

Authorities also discovered that Parks was wanted on an arrest warrant issued by Judge John Valente of the Rutland District Court.

The warrant was issued after Parks failed to appear in court on June 21 on a prior charge of simple assault.

Parks was arrested and lodged at the Marble Valley Correctional Center.

The case was investigated by Sgt. Dale Kerber and Chief William Humphries.
