SHELDON — An Enosburg man was arrested for alleged drunk driving early Saturday morning after state police found him passed out in a vehicle that was off the road, according to Vermont State Police.

Brendan Deuso, 20, was discovered in his 2018 Ford F-150 around 5:51 a.m. on Route 236, near the intersection of Route 105 in Sheldon.

His vehicle was up against the embankment for the rail trail.

Vermont State Police were initially responding to a separate fatal motor vehicle crash in Berkshire when they noticed Deuso’s vehicle.

After managing to awaken Deuso, the subsequent investigation concluded that he was operating under the influence.

Despite minor front-end damage to his vehicle, Deuso suffered no injuries.

He was processed at the St. Albans Barracks and later released on a citation.

He is due to appear in Franklin Court on June 27, 2023, at 8:30 a.m.
