Burglary at Short Stop gas station in Bakersfield, police seek information

BAKERSFIELD — A local gas station was broken into in the early hours of June 17, according to the Vermont State Police.

Troopers from the St Albans Barracks responded to a burglary report at the Short Stop gas station located on Main St N in Bakersfield.

The break-in occurred at approximately 2:40 a.m., when an unidentified suspect, dressed in all black clothing, smashed a window and entered the store.

The suspect is reported to have stolen various items before fleeing the scene.

Authorities are still conducting a thorough investigation of the incident and are appealing to the public for any information related to the burglary.

The surveillance footage from the store is being reviewed and the stolen items are currently being itemized.
