Fatal crash in Dorset

DORSET — A 71-year-old man from Manchester Center was killed during a motorcycle crash in Dorset on Monday.

The crash took place on Vermont Route 30, just north of Morse Hill Road, at around 5:00 p.m.

According to the report, Richard Treat Williams was attempting to turn left into a parking lot prior to the crash.

Police say Ryan M. Koss, signaled a left turn, and then turned into the path of the motorcycle.

Police say Williams was unable to avoid a collision and was thrown from his motorcycle.

He suffered critical injuries and was airlifted to Albany Medical Center in Albany, New York, where he was pronounced dead.

State police say they will release more information as the investigation progresses.
