Man arrested for domestic assault in Danby

DANBY — A 21-year-old man was arrested for first-degree aggravated domestic assault following an incident in Danby.

Authorities say they were notified of a domestic disturbance at around 2:00 a.m. on May 20.

Following an investigation, police allege that Mathew Billings, of Danby, committed the crime of first-degree aggravated domestic assault and left the scene.

Yesterday, Billings was taken into custody and transported to the Vermont State Police Rutland barracks for processing.

After processing, he was released on court-ordered conditions to appear in court at a later date and time.
