BURLINGTON — A Hinesburg man was arrested early in the morning today after a traffic stop revealed he had active warrants for his arrest and was driving with a criminally suspended license.
Troopers were patrolling on I-89 in South Burlington around midnight when they noticed a vehicle exceeding the speed limit.
They conducted a traffic stop and identified the driver as 53-year-old William Smith of Hinesburg.
Further investigation showed Smith had active warrants linked to a second DUI offense. He was also found to be driving with a criminally suspended driver’s license and provided false information to law enforcement.
