SHAFTSBURY — Police responded to a two-vehicle crash with injuries in Shaftsbury on Wednesday.

The crash took place on Vermont Route 7A, near Paulin Drive, at around 2:15 p.m.

According to the report, Lisa Hansen, 52, of North Bennington, and Jenna Bleau, 43, of Bennington, were both traveling north prior to the crash.

Bleau had the four-way directional signals turned on while driving the USPS vehicle and was attempting to turn left into Paulin Drive.

Police say Hansen did not observe this and attempted to pass the vehicle on the left in the southbound lane of travel.

When Hansen tried to pass the USPS vehicle, there was a front-end collision leaving both vehicles with moderate damage.

Police say neither driver sustained any reported injuries and were wearing their seatbelts during the crash.

Walt’s towing service assisted the Vermont State Police with the removal of both vehicles from the scene.
