Former head minister in Ossipee indicted on multiple assault charges

OSSIPEE — A former head minister of the Agape Ministries Church has been indicted on multiple charges of assault and sexual assault, the Ossipee and Moultonborough Police Departments announced.

Kevin Straughan, 67, of Moultonborough, NH, is charged with two counts of second-degree assault (strangulation), two counts of aggravated felonious sexual assault, and two pattern charges of aggravated felonious sexual assault.

All charges are related to domestic violence.

The investigation into these crimes began in October 2022.

Detective Sergeant Sean Mask of the Ossipee Police Department and Officer Jonnie Michalski of the Moultonborough Police Department have been conducting the investigation.

Straughan is also being investigated for similar charges in Daytona Beach, Florida.

The victims in the case include both minor children and adults, making the nature of the case particularly egregious.

At the time of the alleged crimes, Straughan was serving as the head minister of the Agape Ministries Church located in Ossipee and Moultonborough, NH.
