Fire in Morrisville leaves man with serious injuries

MORRISTOWN — Police are investigating a structure fire that broke out in Morrisville on Wednesday.

Authorities were notified of a structure fire on Brooklyn Street at around 8:05 p.m.

Smoke was visible from the roof area when first responders arrived.

Morrisville firefighters entered the building and rescued a male occupant.

The male occupant was transported to Copley Hospital with life-threatening injuries.

The Vermont State Police fire investigation unit has been requested to assist in determining the origin and cause of the fire.

Police say the case remains under investigation at this time.
