JOHNSON — A 26-year-old man from Newport was cited for excessive speeding in Johnson this morning.
Police say they pulled over a vehicle traveling 83 miles-per-hour in a posted 50 miles-per-hour zone on Route 15 at around 8:30 a.m.
The driver was identified as Colin Brennan.
Brennan was issued a citation ordering him to appear in court on June 21.
He was also issued a ticket with a fine of 2 points and $503.00.
