Westminster man charged with assault with a baseball bat

ROCKINGHAM — A 31-year-old man from Westminster was arrested for aggravated assault following an incident in Rockingham yesterday.

Authorities say they were notified of a 911 call from a home on Randall Hill Road, stating that her husband, Austin O’Connor, was actively being assaulted with a baseball bat at around 6:10 p.m.

Following an investigation, police allege that Troy J. Thibodeau purposely and knowingly assaulted Austin O’Connor with a deadly weapon.

O’Connor sustained non-life-threatening injuries as a result of the attack.

Thibodeau was arrested and transported to the Westminster State Police barracks for processing.

He faces charges of aggravated assault.
