Police investigate fatal workplace accident in Nashua

NASHUA — The Nashua Police Department is investigating a workplace accident that resulted in the death of a 29-year-old landscaper.

The incident occurred on May 15, while a landscaping company was trimming trees in the area of Conant Road.

Amilcar Lopez-Garcia of Leo’s Landscaping was fatally injured.

Detectives were notified and are currently investigating the matter.

WMUR reported that crew members stated that he had been cutting branches on a tree around 12:30 p.m.

They say he may have hit power lines on the way down.

This is at least the third tree-related death this year.

Additional information will be provided at a later date, police say.
