WILLIAMSTOWN — A 44-year-old man from Berlin was cited following an incident in Williamstown on Friday.

Authorities say they were notified that a woman was run over by a motorcycle outside The Pub at around 9:10 p.m.

Upon arriving on the scene, police say they made contact with Katherine Lamell, 30, of Williamstown, who presented with minor injuries.

She was medically cleared on the scene by EMS.

Following an investigation, it was found that an altercation led to Troy Bennett driving away on a motorcycle and running over Lamell’s legs.

Bennett was unable to be located until yesterday when he came to the Berlin barracks for an interview.

He was issued a citation for gross negligent operation, reckless endangerment, and an ignition interlock restriction.

He was released and is scheduled to appear in court on June 21.
