RUTLAND — A 40-year-old man was arrested following an incident in Rutland yesterday.

Police say they were investigating a call for service where a suspect had destroyed several CCTV cameras on a home on Woodstock Avenue after the incident.

After reviewing video of the incident, police located the man on West Street as the suspect.

Matthew Hill was found to have an active arrest warrant out of Chittenden County for failing to appear on a charge of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon back during October of 2020.

He has previously failed to appear several times on this warrant.

The conditions on the warrant ordered he be issued a citation and released.
