Campton police release April crime report

CAMPTON — The Campton Police Department has released its crime report for the month of April 2023.

According to the report, the department logged 773 calls for service and made 21 arrests during the month.

The arrests included a variety of charges, ranging from drug possession to arson.

One of the most significant arrests was that of a 22-year-old male who was charged with arson, criminal mischief, reckless conduct with a deadly weapon, falsifying physical evidence, and criminal trespassing on NH Route 175.

In another high-profile case, a 39-year-old female was arrested for possession of methamphetamine, possession of oxycodone, and receiving stolen property, along with warrants for theft from Campton and Holderness Police Departments.

Campton Police also made 126 motor vehicle stops during the month, issuing 104 warnings and 22 citations.

They responded to two motor vehicle accidents as well.

It’s important to note that an arrest is not a conviction and that all arrestees must be adjudged guilty in court for there to be a conviction.

Juvenile and noncustodial arrests may not appear on the report.
